Training provided. All shifts available. This position is ideal for someone who wants to make a critical impact in the lives of those who are struggling with addiction. Hiring for Danvers and Tewksbury locations.</p> <p>Our Treatment Centers are a medically monitored detoxification program dedicated to helping men & women by providing 24-hour nursing care to monitor an individual's withdrawal from alcohol and/or other drugs and alleviate symptoms. As a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team, the Nurse (RN) provides high quality care, adhering to medical standards. The nurse promotes a safe and therapeutic environment by treating patients in a compassionate and professional manner.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provides individualized nursing care to patients based on best practices.</p> </li><li> <p>Assesses patients for withdrawal symptoms using standardized withdrawal assessment tools.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitors vital signs</p> </li><li> <p>Participates in the development, implementation, evaluation, and modification of treatment plans.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides group and individual education to patients on use, purpose, side effects, and other information relating to medications as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Administers medication based on established protocols to treat symptoms of withdrawal.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for administering patients' approved personal medication.</p> </li><li> <p>Obtain and transcribe orders for patient personal medications.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicates and consults with other members of the care team regarding patient's status and needs, when appropriate.</p> </li><li> <p>Respond professionally and appropriately in crisis situations.</p> </li><li> <p>Documents pertinent information concisely, accurately, and completely, according to the established alcohol/drug protocols as well as any psychiatric/medical conditions.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists in the admitting, transferring and discharging process, ensuring patient safety is addressed.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to provide compassionate support and counsel to those with substance use disorder.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Valid and current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license.</p> </li><li> <p>Current certification in CPR.</p> </li><li> <p>Must demonstrate ability to relate to a substance use treatment population in a sensitive manner, an interest and willingness to work in a multicultural setting and must share a commitment to customer service.</p> </li></ul> <p>As a health care organization, we have a responsibility to do everything in our power to care for and protect our patients, our colleagues and our communities.
