This role involves hands-on maintenance and repair of trailers, chassis, and containers, ensuring all equipment meets safety and operational standards.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Perform repairs and maintenance on chassis, trailers, and containers</p> </li><li> <p>Diagnose and replace or repair lights, tires, landing legs, brakes, and framework</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct minor welding and fabrication as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Inspect equipment to identify issues and ensure roadworthiness</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain accurate records of all work performed</p> </li><li> <p>Follow safety procedures and comply with industry standards</p> </li><li> <p>Work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience in chassis/trailer/container repair and maintenance</p> </li><li> <p>Basic welding skills preferred not required</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of brake systems, lights, tires, and framework</p> </li><li> <p>Strong mechanical aptitude</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions</p> </li><li> <p>Valid driver's license</p> </li><li> <p>Willingness to work in varying weather conditions</p> </li><li> <p>Must have basic set of hand tools</p> </li><li> <p>Must pass a pre-employment background verification, physical and drug screening</p> </li><li> <p></p> </li><li> <p></p> </li><li> <p>The Federal Rail Administration sets and enforces safety regulations and standards for railroad operations.
