Depending on the type of visit, there are specific areas designed to take care of individual needs efficiently and compassionately. Backed by the full resources of Cleveland Clinic, the Emergency Department provides advanced care to the Brunswick community.</p> <p>As RN in the Emergency Department (ED), you will help patients feel comfortable, at ease and supported while receiving treatment. This position requires a caregiver who is empathetic, understanding and nurturing to ensure quality patient care and effective life-saving treatment. And if you're relocating to join us, you could be eligible for relocation assistance. </li><li>Our Center for Workplace Violence Prevention and Caregiver Well-Being sets caregiver safety as a priority, identifying, reporting and responding to incidents and providing safety resources. </li></ul> <p>A caregiver in this position works days from 11:00 a.m. - 11:30 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. - 9:30 p.m. with every other weekend and holiday rotation requirements.</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role will:</p> <ul> <li>Provide direct nursing care. </li><li>Implement and monitor patient care plans. </li><li>Monitor, record and communicate patients' conditions. </li><li>Evaluate, update and revise plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes </li><li>Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. </li><li>Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs. </li><li>Educate patients and family with educational materials considering cultural issues and other special concerns </li><li>Administer prescribed medications and treatment in accordance with approved nursing protocol </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN program) </li><li>Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) </li><li>One year of current acute care RN experience OR military RN experience </li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR American Red Cross </li><li>Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR American Red Cross </li><li>Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC - pediatric) upon hire or within 24 months of beginning work in the Emergency Department. </li><li>Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR American Red Cross within one year of hire </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. </li><li>Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. </li><li>Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. </li><li>Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours. </li><li>Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids. </li><li>Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. </li><li>Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work. </li></ul> <p>Personal Protective Equipment:</p> <ul> <li>Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. </li></ul> <p>Pay Range</p> <p>Minimum hourly: $35.50</p> <p>Maximum hourly: $55.60</p> <p>The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.). The pay range does not include the value of Cleveland Clinic's benefits package (e.g., healthcare, dental and vision benefits, retirement savings account contributions, etc.).</p>
