<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>Are you an experienced professional looking for new opportunities to further your career? This position will offer great benefits with the state, including 15 days of annual and sick leave per year or more depending on applicable state service.</p> <p>The purpose of the Training Coordinator is to coordinate within the Technical Services and Training Division for planning and implementing in-person and virtual training courses designed to facilitate nondiscriminatory practices within the work environment in affirmative action, equal employment opportunity, and other civil rights laws. Th Training Coordinator will research, develop, and coordinate all employment training the division conducts, and will provide planning and consultation with the Division's supervisor to meet agency goals, objectives, and values related to complex employment discrimination matters based on South Carolina Human Affairs Law.</p> <p>Responsibilities of the Training Coordinator I:</p> <ul> <li>In consultation with the Division Director, conducts, plans, and coordinates all training for the agency related to preventing employment discrimination based on the SC Human Affairs and Federal Employment Laws. </li><li>Develops and design virtual and in-person training modules, classes, and seminars regarding employment matters based on the SC Human Affairs Law for the private and public sector to prevent employment discrimination in the workplace. </li><li>Provides technical assistance and makes recommendations to state agencies in developing and implementing non-discriminatory employment practices to comply with state and federal laws, answering questions, and identifying problem areas and corrective actions. </li><li>Develop and disseminate a monthly educational newsletter to state agencies and the private sector, providing information related to federal and state employment laws designed to prevent employment discrimination. </li><li>Coordinates with supervisor and assists with conducting training for agency, EEO officers and other employees on affirmative action plans and EEO issues and assists in planning forums and developing documents for employment law. </li><li>Collects training evaluations, conducts research, analyzes and summarizes data related to training, and consults with the division director to continuously improve educational methods to prevent discrimination in the workplace. </li><li>Assists in all other job duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <p>A bachelor's degree and relevant professional experience related to the position.</p> <p>Applicants indicating college credit or degree(s) on the application will be required to bring a copy of college transcript to the interview. Please note that some areas of the Agency may require an official, certified copy of the transcript prior to hiring or within a specific timeframe required by that area, after hiring.
