As a Traffic Demand Modeler, you will lead and oversee the development of comprehensive traffic models for various projects, ensuring accuracy and reliability.</p> <p>What are the core responsibilities for the role?</p> <ul> <li>Lead the development and implementation of travel demand models for transportation projects. </li><li>Experience with microsimulation and other traffic analysis techniques is a plus, but not required </li><li>Serve as a technical authority on travel modeling methodologies, tools, and best practices </li><li>Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and planners to integrate modeling into project delivery </li><li>Manage modeling tasks, schedules, and deliverables from project initiation through completion </li><li>Present technical findings and recommendations to clients, stakeholders, and agencies </li><li>Review and ensure quality of modeling work through established QA/QC processes </li><li>Mentor and develop junior staff, supporting technical growth and career progression </li></ul> <p>Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:</p> <ul> <li>12+ years of experience in traffic and transportation modeling </li><li>Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Planning or related field from an accredited program, or equivalent experience. </li><li>Strong expertise in travel demand modeling </li><li>Proficiency with at least one travel demand modeling tool such as Cube, TransCAD, and/or TransModeler </li><li>Demonstrated experience leading technical teams and delivering complex transportation projects </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences </li></ul> <p>Why would a candidate want this job?</p> <p>At Horrocks, you can expect a competitive base salary and award-winning benefits.
