<p>We are seeking an experienced Senior/Lead Electrical & Automation (E&A) Engineer with a strong background in large-scale EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) projects for the metals and minerals sector. The successful candidate will lead the design, integration, and commissioning of electrical and automation systems, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations across major industrial plants.</p> <p>Lexicon offers a unique combination of capabilities. Our services include construction management, fabrication, erection, mechanical installation, and plant maintenance for heavy industrial, commercial, and roadway projects, as well as a full spectrum of golf course construction and management services.</p> <p>Senior/Lead Electrical & Automation Engineer Position Summary</p> <ul> <li>Lead design and execution of electrical power systems and automation/control systems across all EPC project phases (FEED, detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning). </li><li>Develop and approve single-line diagrams, I/O lists, instrumentation data sheets, control panel layouts, and SCADA/DCS configurations. </li><li>Perform and review system studies (load flow, short-circuit, protection coordination, and arc-flash). </li><li>Ensure compliance with NEC, IEC, IEEE, ISA, and other relevant codes and standards. </li><li>Supervise and support installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and automation systems, including PLCs, DCS, SCADA, and industrial networks. </li><li>Interface with vendors and evaluate automation hardware/software, MCCs, and switchgear packages. </li><li>Provide technical direction to contractors, EPC partners, and junior engineers. </li><li>Act as the client-facing technical authority for all E&A systems, resolving design and commissioning issues. </li><li>Drive digitalization and smart plant initiatives to improve efficiency and reliability. </li></ul> <p>Senior Lead/Electrical & Automation Engineer Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Automation, or Control Engineering (Master's preferred). </li><li>15+ years' experience in electrical and automation engineering, with at least 8 years in EPC projects for metals/mining/heavy industry. </li><li>Proficiency with ETAP, AutoCAD Electrical, Revit MEP, and automation programming tools (Siemens, Rockwell, ABB, Schneider, etc.). </li><li>Strong expertise in PLCs, DCS, SCADA, field instrumentation, and industrial communication protocols (Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet/IP). </li><li>Proven leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills. </li></ul> <p>Senior/Lead Electrical & Automation Physical Demands</p> <ul> <li> <p>Primarily office-based with extended computer use.</p> </li><li> <p>Occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds.</p> </li><li> <p>Periodic site visits may expose the employee to noise, dust, weather conditions, and construction hazards.</p> </li><li> <p>Personal protective equipment may be required during site visits.</p> </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Medical Insurance </li><li>HSA with Employer contributions </li><li>Dental Insurance </li><li>Vision Insurance </li><li>Group and Voluntary Life Insurance </li><li>Short Term/Long Term Disability </li><li>Critical Illness Plan </li><li>Employee Assistance Program </li><li>Paid Vacation </li><li>401(k) with Employer Match </li></ul> <p>Accessibility: If you need an accommodation as part of the employment process please contact Human Resources at</p> <p>Email: lexhr@lexicon-inc.com</p> <p>Drug Free Workplace</p> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer, including disabled and veterans.</p> <p>If you want to view the Know Your Rights: Workplace Discrimination is Illegal poster, please choose your language: English - Spanish - Arabic - Chinese</p> <p>English - Spanish - Chinese</p> <p>To see other positions, click here.</p>
