<p>Akkodis is seeking an API Developer for a Contract engagement with a client in Chicago, IL. This role requires deep hands-on expertise in Azure Cloud, Terraform, API development, and Python automation.</p> <p>Rate Range: $49/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.</p> <p>API Developer job responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and support APIs leveraging REST, SOAP, and GraphQL patterns. </li><li>Implement and troubleshoot API security models including OAuth 2.0 and JWT authentication/validation. </li><li>Author, maintain, refactor, and optimize Terraform modules for scalable IaC deployments. </li><li>Provision Azure resources using Terraform including networking, compute, and security services. </li><li>Work hands-on with Azure Cloud architecture and services. </li><li>Experience preferred with Azure API Management, Application Gateway/WAF, Azure Front Door, Key Vault, and monitoring tools. </li><li>Author and manage GitHub Actions workflows including secrets, environment configs, and automation logic. </li><li>Integrate Terraform deployments into CI/CD pipelines. </li><li>Write and maintain Python automation scripts for infrastructure and API operations. </li><li>Use Azure SDKs and REST APIs for automated resource provisioning and governance. </li></ul> <p>Desired Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>10+ years of experience developing APIs and cloud-native automation solutions. </li><li>Strong experience with Microsoft Azure architecture, networking, and cloud deployments. </li><li>Hands-on expertise with Terraform, IaC principles, and reusable module development. </li><li>Strong Python background including scripting, automation, and SDK usage. </li><li>Experience implementing OAuth 2.0, JWT, and API security best practices. </li><li>Familiarity with Azure Front Door, API Gateway, Key Vault, WAF policies, and monitoring tools. </li><li>Bachelor's degree preferred. </li></ul> <p>If you are interested in this role, then please click APPLY NOW.
