<p>Overview</p> <p>Candidate will be responsible for engineering of material handling systems.? Each system is custom designed per client based on the optimal solution.? This requires a team effort of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, controls, software, and project management. The team will develop and implement a design concept that satisfies the customer's requirement for safety, functionality, reliability, throughput, and expense.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Designing/enhancing conveyor systems as well as various automated and semi-automated material handling systems; may lead on larger projects or an entire project program </li><li>Review of product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer requirements and specifications </li><li>Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems </li><li>Prepares/Reviews approval, permit, and installation drawings using AutoCAD </li><li>Obtains material and product quotes from vendors and issues purchase orders </li><li>Helps monitor the project schedule, engineering time, and material costs </li><li>Works with other disciplines on the project team to make sure the engineered solution and all equipment fit within system confines and constraints </li><li>Travels up to 20% to measure buildings, inventory equipment, commission systems, and interface with customers </li><li>Participates in continuous improvement projects </li><li>Resolves engineering issues by working with customers, vendors and other team members </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education and Experience Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline, preferably Mechanical or Industrial, or equivalent experience </li><li>Minimum of 8 years of material handling related experience </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks proficiency </li><li>Microsoft Office skills - Word, Excel, Power Point, and Project. </li><li>Ability to lead multiple teams and accomplish project goals effectively </li><li>Ability to handle multiple project assignments and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment </li><li>In-depth knowledge of the material handling business </li><li>Ability to interface effectively with internal and external customers, vendors, consulting engineers, architects, and installers </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills </li><li>Team-oriented and collaborative </li><li>Self-motivated and detail-oriented </li><li>Ability to learn new technology </li><li>Must be able to speak, read and understand the English language </li></ul> <p>EOE Minorities/Women/Disabled/Veterans</p> <p>Federal Contractor</p> <p>If you need assistance applying to an open position online, please email HR-ILUS@daifukuna.com</p> <p>Job Posting Min Salary</p> <p>USD $80,000.00</p> <p>Job Posting Max Salary</p> <p>USD $127,000.00</p>
