<p>Job Summary:</p> <p>Acts as a working supervisor; performs the duties of the count position, directs, and ensures the proper collection and efficient transfer of all currency from the slot machines to the count room and then to the main bank.</p> <p>Supervisory Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Yes, will supervise 8-10 team members. </li></ul> <p>Duties/Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Ensures adherence to all State Gaming Commission regulations, company and department policies and procedures, and the submitted internal control systems. </li><li>Completes a weekly team member schedule, rotating job functions, designates scheduled break periods and ensures proper staffing in accordance with business volume. </li><li>Ensures all new hires are proper and thorough on- the-job training, ensures and reviews all company and departmental policies and procedures. </li><li>Keeps Count Team Manager informed of all relevant information regarding irregularities. </li><li>Assists Count Team Manager in developing and revising formal count policies and procedures and ensuring their implementation. </li><li>Performs adjustments to currency counting machines to ensure against delays in the processing of the count. </li><li>Assist in training/retraining all team members in the department. </li><li>Maintain accurate personnel and departmental files. </li><li>All other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Previous supervisory experience required. </li><li>At least six months to one year experience as a count team member or large-volume money handling experience. </li><li>Mathematical aptitude and ability to count large sums of currency. </li><li>Operate a ten-key adding machine. </li><li>Good organizational skills. </li><li>Ability to communicate with Team members and guests. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Excellent organizational skills, with particular attention to quality and detail. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization. </li></ul> <p>Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registrations:</p> <ul> <li>Gaming license/registration as required by the Virginia Lottery Board. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>The job functions encompass a varied combination of physical functions, including, but not limited to the following: </li><li>Constant standing, walking, reaching outward, occasional reaching about the shoulder level and frequent squatting, kneeling, and bending. </li><li>Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds. </li><li>Ability to push/pull up to 50 pounds. </li><li>Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week, including holidays. </li><li>Ability to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise, bright lights, smoke, and dust. </li></ul>
