Come join the rapidly expanding Lilly Genetic Medicines team at Lilly! We are responsible for inventing, characterizing, and advancing novel genetic reagents for a myriad of clinical applications. Our team works cross-functionally within our organization across multiple disease areas and platforms. Our goal is to deliver on the promise of gene therapy to patients around the world.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Develop novel AAV therapies at Lilly by driving data-based decisions for internal and external programs </li><li>Develop and implement the organization's strategic vision AAV, aligning with business goals </li><li>Collaborate with executives and leaders to address key business challenges using experience in gene therapy </li><li>Drive the creation and implementation of screening novel AAV technologies, including capsid screens, cargo R&D, and related technologies </li><li>Ensure best practices in model development, validation, and deployment </li><li>Stay updated on emerging trends and suggest innovative solutions </li><li>Integrate genetic medicine delivery strategy into broader gene therapy strategy </li><li>Present analytical insights and recommendations to senior executives clearly and concisely </li><li>Lead and/or grow a team to develop AAV gene therapy assets </li></ul> <p>Basic Requirements</p> <p>PhD with 8+ years of industry experience</p> <p>Additional Skills/Preferences</p> <ul> <li>Proven track record of successfully leading discovery and translational gene therapy programs and platforms </li><li>Strong experience with AAV, viral vectors, high-throughput screening, and translational R&D Deep understanding of AAV biology </li><li>Exceptional problem-solving and analytical thinking </li><li>Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills </li><li>Ability to translate complex biology into actionable business strategies </li><li>Strong project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams and driving initiatives from concept to execution </li></ul> <p>Other</p> <ul> <li>up to 10-15% travel for conferences or training </li></ul> <p>Lilly is dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities to actively engage in the workforce, ensuring equal opportunities when vying for positions. The anticipated wage for this position is</p> <p>$163,500 - $281,600</p> <p>Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
