<p>Assistant Principal - Taft Elementary School Uxbridge Public Schools Taft Early Learning Center - Uxbridge, Massachusetts</p> <p>About Our School: Taft Early Learning Center is a public elementary school serving approximately 560 students from Preschool through Grade 3 in Uxbridge, Massachusetts. We are a tight-knit community dedicated to early childhood education excellence and creating a foundation for lifelong learning and social and emotional well-being.</p> <p>Position Overview The Uxbridge Public School District seeks a dynamic and child-centered Assistant Principal to join the leadership team at Taft Early Learning Center. The ideal candidate will partner with Principal Mark LaBossiere to foster a positive, inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.</p> <p>Job Details Position Type: Full-time (200 Days) Application Deadline: Open until filled Start Date: July 1, 2025 (for the 2025-2026 school year)</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ol> <li> <p>Student-Centered Leadership</p> <ul> <li>Promote a healthy, safe, and supportive school environment where all students feel valued </li><li>Support teachers in implementing developmentally appropriate practices for early learners </li><li>Lead daily discipline using restorative practices and PBIS frameworks </li><li>Manage therapeutic classroom interventions and crisis situations </li><li>Implement bullying prevention strategies and Second Step curriculum </li></ul> </li><li> <p>Instructional Leadership</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with teaching staff to enhance educational excellence </li><li>Support curriculum development and implementation aligned with district goals </li><li>Participate in classroom observations and teacher feedback processes </li><li>Assist in analyzing student data to inform instructional decisions </li></ul> </li><li> <p>Community & Communication</p> <ul> <li>Build positive relationships with families, staff, and community partners </li><li>Communicate effectively with all stakeholders about school programs and student progress </li><li>Enhance public relations and community engagement initiatives </li><li>Participate in developing and implementing school improvement plans </li></ul> </li><li> <p>Administrative Management</p> <ul> <li>Assist with master scheduling and daily operations </li><li>Support compliance with district, state, and federal requirements </li><li>Collaborate on facility management and safety protocols </li><li>Participate in budget planning and resource allocation </li></ul> </li></ol> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Massachusetts Educator License as a PreK-8, Principal/Assistant Principal </li><li>Master's Degree in Education or related field </li><li>Minimum of five years teaching experience, preferably in early childhood / elementary education </li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood development and learning </li><li>Experience with data-driven instruction and intervention strategies </li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills </li><li>Commitment to inclusive education practices and meeting diverse student needs </li></ul> <p>Desired Qualities</p> <ul> <li>Passion for early childhood education </li><li>Strong background in literacy and numeracy development </li><li>Experience with social-emotional learning approaches </li><li>Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with young children </li><li>Commitment to family engagement in early learning </li><li>Experience with Therapeutic Classroom management and TCIS (Therapeutic Crisis Intervention) </li><li>Training in Safety Care </li><li>Expertise in PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) implementation </li><li>Knowledge of restorative practices for elementary-age students </li><li>Familiarity with Bullying prevention strategies and Second Step curriculum </li><li>Comfort with leading PD for teachers and staff </li><li>-- My application affirms, that I have read and understand that the information which I have provided with this application process and the accompanying resume is true and complete to the best of my knowledge.
