<p>Please note, posting was originally posted on 12/18/2024 and the following was updated</p> <p>Summary: Grand Valley State University (GVSU) in Grand Rapids, Michigan is currently accepting applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor position in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders to support the Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) program. This is an exciting opportunity for innovative and motivated individuals who are dedicated to excellence in teaching, research, and committed to evidence-based practice, working collaboratively with a team of dynamic faculty members. Successful candidates must be able to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and community members with a broad range of backgrounds and experiences.</p> <p>Required Qualifications and Education:</p> <ul> <li>Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in audiology; all-but-dissertation (ABD) candidates will be considered. Area of expertise is flexible, however, preference will be given to faculty with a medical audiology and/or vestibular and balance background </li><li>ASHA certification in Audiology </li><li>Evidence of effective teaching </li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills </li><li>Demonstrated record and/or potential for active scholarship </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities - Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Teach in the Doctor of Audiology program and undergraduate pre-professional academic program. </li><li>Provide clinical supervision in on-campus clinic </li><li>Participate in scholarly activity, advise/mentor students, and provide service to the department, college, university, community, and the profession. </li></ul> <p>Salary: Minimum starting salary of $90,000, commensurate with experience</p> <p>Department/Division: Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, College of Health Professions</p> <p>Campus: Health Campus</p> <p>How To Apply: Apply online at jobs.gvsu.edu.
