<p>Our Research & Development Internship offers individuals a hands-on, real-world experience within the company over an 8-10-week period. You will work on a variety of projects, all centered around Research and Development and Food Manufacturing. Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>You will work with R&D on a variety of projects associated with Production / Manufacturing Specifications, Shelf Life Studies, New Product Development, Commercialization Trials, New Species Research and other work associated with Research and Development. Assist in developing and standardizing Production Specifications to enhance operational efficiency. Assist with Fish Friday retail operation when needed. Additional projects as appropriate.</p> <p>What Makes You a Great Fit:</p> <p>Prefer a rising Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree at an accredited university in a relevant field of study; Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or Food Chemistry. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in both a manufacturing and office environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Prior internship/co-op experience is a plus.</p> <p>Compensation Range: $18.50 - $25.00/hr. Workspace Environment:</p> <p>Combination office and production floor environment. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, as well as extended periods of standing and walking on the production floor. Regular exposure to cold (32°F to 45°F) and wet conditions within production areas. Exposure to low levels of noise and active manufacturing equipment.</p>
