Also artists with experience may apply - hourly rate negotiated</p> <p>CONTRACT LENGTH:</p> <p>Training Session (onsite) July 11, 2025 8:00 am to 12:00 pm</p> <p>(hourly stipend provided)</p> <p>July 14, 2025: 11:00 am to 4:00 pm</p> <p>July 15 - July 18, 2025: 8:30 am to 1:30 pm</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY:</p> <p>Provide Migrant Summer School Administrator with student records, including daily attendance</p> <ul> <li>Teacher must attend training session as listed above </li><li>Teachers must provide instruction to students in 8th grade - 12th grade </li></ul> <p>PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>In addition to the duties and responsibilities of a classroom teacher, the teacher in this position should have the knowledge and skills to do the following:</p> <ul> <li>Provide Art instruction to complete a capstone project </li><li>Work collaboratively with MRSC and Bilingual Services Department staff </li><li>Supervise and provide direction for classroom support staff to support instruction </li><li>Provide differentiated instruction based on the individual needs of students </li><li>May need to work in collaboration with another teacher </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Should have the ability to understand and accept the philosophy of the Bilingual Services Department in reference to the education of Migrant students and/or English Learners </li><li>Special experience in Art working with capstone project/s </li><li>Must have the ability to facilitate student-centered, project-based curriculum (must provide evidence) </li><li>Must have recent EXCELLENT classroom management skills and proven ability to work with 8th grade to 12th grade students </li><li>Prefer a valid Indiana Teacher's License in Art, will consider other candidates with experience in Art </li></ul> <p>SPECIAL NOTATION: The position requires that staff must be present throughout the duration of the entire Summer Migrant Program. Vacations must be taken prior to the start date of July 14, 2025 and after July 18, 2025. The position also requires flexible scheduling of work responsibilities.</p>
