This role manages the full sales cycle-from prospecting and specification development to order execution, delivery, and follow-up-while serving commercial truck dealerships, contractors, fleet operators, municipalities, and owner-operators.</p> <p>Success in this role requires a consultative selling approach, strong product knowledge, and the ability to coordinate effectively with internal production, and sales teams to ensure accurate specifications and on-time delivery.</p> <p>Sales & Business Development</p> <ul> <li>Actively prospect and develop new business opportunities within assigned markets and territory. </li><li>Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers to drive repeat and referral business. </li><li>Meet or exceed established sales objectives for unit volume, gross margin, and account growth. </li><li>Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate dump body, chassis, and upfit solutions. </li></ul> <p>Customer & Account Management</p> <ul> <li>Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the sales and delivery process. </li><li>Conduct onsite visits, and application discussions as required. </li><li>Provide post-sale follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term relationship development. </li></ul> <p>Technical Specifications & Order Management</p> <ul> <li>Develop accurate equipment specifications and quotations based on customer requirements and regulatory considerations. </li><li>Write complete and accurate sales orders, secure deposits, and process required documentation in accordance with company policies. </li><li>Coordinate closely with internal teams to ensure orders are buildable, compliant, and delivered as promised. </li><li>Review equipment and warranty information with customers at delivery. </li></ul> <p>Administrative & Reporting</p> <ul> <li>Maintain accurate and current customer, opportunity, and order records within the company's sales tracking or CRM tools. </li><li>Prepare and submit sales activity and call reports as required. </li><li>Attend meetings, training sessions, and manufacturer programs to maintain and expand product knowledge. </li></ul> <p>Professional Standards</p> <ul> <li>Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company in a courteous and ethical manner at all times. </li><li>Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations affecting the sale and upfitting of vocational truck bodies. </li><li>Perform additional duties assigned in support of dealership operations. </li></ul> <p>Company Competencies</p> <ul> <li>Ensuring Accountability - Delivers work reliably and follows through on commitments. </li><li>Integrity - Acts ethically, professionally, and fairly in all interactions. </li><li>Communication - Listens effectively and clearly conveys information. </li><li>Initiative - Proactively identifies needs and takes appropriate action. </li><li>Innovation - Seeks continuous improvement in processes and solutions. </li><li>Self-Awareness - Recognizes strengths and areas for development. </li><li>Teamwork - Collaborates effectively with colleagues and departments. </li></ul> <p>Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:</p> <ul> <li>Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred or must be obtained within six (6) months of employment. </li><li>Ability to travel locally and regionally to customer sites as business needs require. </li><li>Valid Driver's License </li><li>Successful completion of pre-employment background checks and drug screening </li></ul> <p>Bergey's is an equal opportunity employer.</p>
