<p>Position Summary:</p> <p>Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, the Director, Associate General Counsel will serve as a strategic legal advisor to the business, with primary responsibility for managing a broad portfolio of commercial contracts focused on sales, go-to-market initiatives, and supplier arrangements. This role will also provide legal counsel on global entity management, product compliance, marketing materials, and litigation risk.</p> <p>The ideal candidate brings exceptional judgment, responsiveness, and a practical, business-oriented mindset to deliver timely, strategic legal advice in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.</p> <p>Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Serve as a trusted legal and business partner, providing clear, actionable guidance to internal stakeholders across functions. </li><li>Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial and clinical agreements, including sales, marketing, partnership, vendor, supplier contracts, and clinical trial agreements. </li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, marketing, finance, and commercial teams to align legal advice with business objectives. </li><li>Support compliance across the product lifecycle, including product policies, terms of use, disclosures, and marketing review. </li><li>Advise on legal risks associated with products, including those arising from active or threatened litigation. </li><li>Manage pre-litigation disputes, respond to legal escalations, and help drive favorable business outcomes. </li><li>Maintain and improve contract templates, playbooks, and scalable legal processes to increase efficiency and mitigate risk. </li><li>Manage all subsidiary legal needs. </li><li>Develop and deliver legal and compliance training across the organization. </li><li>Proactively identify and address legal and commercial risks associated with new and existing products. </li><li>Build scalable commercial legal strategies that enable innovation while protecting the company. </li><li>Develop and lead export compliance program. </li><li>Other duties as needed or required. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>J.D. from an accredited law school. </li><li>10+ years of legal practice experience, including significant in-house experience preferred. </li><li>Expertise in commercial law, particularly in sales, marketing, and supplier agreements. </li><li>Member in good standing of a State Bar; California Bar membership or eligibility for California MJP required. </li><li>Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-lawyers. </li><li>Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills across all levels of the organization. </li><li>Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple high-priority matters simultaneously. </li><li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills. </li><li>High degree of professionalism, discretion, and business acumen. </li><li>Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. </li><li>Commitment to Cutera's core values, teamwork, and a collaborative company culture. </li></ul>
