The Drafting Manager will be responsible for leading the drafting team through planning and execution of converting product designs to shop drawings and customer submittal packages. Actual pay may vary based on experience, education, and other factors.)</p> <p>Shift Schedule: 1st shift Monday - Friday Business Hours</p> <p>Shift Differential: 1st shift - N/A</p> <p>As a Drafting Manager, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Provide leadership, management, and accountability </li><li>Manage the customer submittal drawing process adhering to industry compliance </li><li>Develop & maintain standard work supporting accurate production drawings and details </li><li>Development and application of drafting protocols, conventions, and standards </li><li>Develop & maintain efficiency standards with direct oversite of limiting product variation </li><li>Display strong leadership, team building, project management and delegation skills </li><li>Hire, develop, train, and build a high-performing team that effectively aligns with the established drafting and engineering standards and collaborates with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations for effective processes </li><li>Communicate directly with internal and external customers with a positive attitude and solution-oriented mindset </li><li>Development and standardization of effective drafting and detailing processes </li><li>Collaborate with manufacturing engineering, supply chain, and operations teams for effective capturing and utilization of shop build standards </li><li>Proactively advocate internally for solutions and managing efficient and effective workflows </li></ul> <p>Role Qualifications as a Drafting Manager:</p> <ul> <li>Associate's degree in CAD or closely related technical field </li><li>At least three (3) years of experience leading a team in a technical field </li><li>Expert knowledge and at least five (5) years of experience in CAD software, preferably Solid Works </li><li>Expert knowledge in understanding and interpreting mechanical, structural, and engineering drawings and specifications </li><li>Effective knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook </li><li>Use effective and appropriate written and verbal communication </li><li>Contributor to problem-solving activities within a team environment </li><li>Professional, detail oriented in their work </li><li>Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Exceptional skills in math, including fractions, decimals, geometry, and algebraic concepts </li><li>Collaborative approach in team and individual settings </li><li>Data-driven mindset and an aptitude for growth and technology </li></ul> <p>Why Millerbernd and Who We Are:</p> <p>We strive to create the best opportunities for our employees.
