Agencies located in the Statehouse include the Office of the Governor, the Legislative Branch offices, and the State Library of Kansas. The position reports to the Custodial Manager.</p> <p>The Custodial Specialist position performs custodial cleaning tasks using the proper methods, materials and equipment to maintain the cleaning standards. Duties are listed as follows: cleans offices, cubicle areas, conference rooms, corridors, entrances, and restrooms. Work is performed by using vacuum cleaners, microfiber materials, rotary floor machines, auto scrubbers, wet-vacuum cleaners and cleaning chemicals.</p> <p>Additionally, there is the possibility for participation in event set-up. This may include setting up chairs, tables, and trash cans, as well as tearing down after events.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>None required.</p> <p>Physical Requirement</p> <p>Ability to lift and/or negotiate the movement of 50 pounds.</p> <p>Post Offer Requirement:</p> <p>Kansas Tax Clearance Certificate: A valid Kansas Tax Clearance Certificate is a condition of employment for all employees of the State of Kansas.
