<p>MAURY MICROWAVE JOB DESCRIPTION</p> <p>Approved by: VP of Technical Operations</p> <p>Date: 05/07/2025</p> <p>Job Title: Mechanical Assembler</p> <p>FLSA Status: Non-Exempt</p> <p>Job Classification: Part-Time</p> <p>Department: Manufacturing Direct</p> <p>Reports to: Operations Manager</p> <p>Brief Summary of Position: The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for safe, accurate, and efficient assembly of mechanical parts using a variety of tools and equipment to build high precision test equipment according to required specifications, processes, and procedures. Fine motor skills and high-quality standards will be required to ensure efficient and accurate assembly, suitable for a high quality, high value final product.</p> <p>Essential Functions of the Position</p> <ul> <li>Assemble units using standard hand and power tools by reading from drawings and diagrams. </li><li>Inspection of incoming mechanical parts and pieces; reject and notify supervisor of product which does not conform to specifications. </li><li>Study and interpret drawings, assembly instructions, and/or standard work instructions to accurately assemble components. </li><li>Assemble sub-assemblies in the established routed hours to deliver the product on or before the due date. </li><li>Determine if all parts are present; communicate to immediate supervisor the status of needed parts to produce units. </li><li>Document WIP (digitally and/or photographically) to the designated network folders </li><li>Rotate through other production lines to assist where needed. </li><li>Perform co-worker's job functions during absences within the department. </li><li>Perform tasks in accordance with company safety standards. </li><li>Use any specialized tooling that is required in the respective area. Complete any necessary certifications if required to do so. </li><li>Maintain a working knowledge of workmanship standards as well as the ISO quality system. Utilize these practices in everyday activity. </li><li>Ensure all parts are fitted and screwed in properly. </li><li>Interpret measurements. </li><li>Report errors in product line. </li><li>Evaluate quality of finished product. </li><li>Regular and reliable attendance. </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li>High school education or equivalent; OR at least one (1) year of related experience in general assembly work or mechanical trade work. </li><li>English fluency and able to communicate with others effectively. </li><li>Basic understanding of how to use non powered hand tools </li><li>Basic computer skills: ability to learn/use new programs, i.e. printer or camera software </li><li>Well organized with a high level of attention to detail. </li><li>Must be able to follow instructions, take notes, and work independently. </li><li>Can adapt and thrive in a constantly changing environment. </li><li>Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics for placement of parts. </li><li>Proficient in using standard measuring devices such as tape measures, scales, squares, etc. </li><li>Able to identify and safely operate standard hand, power and air tools. </li></ul> <p>Job Qualifications and Training:</p> <p>High School Diploma</p>
