<p>Job Title: Staff Accountant</p> <p>Location: (Hybrid with Remote Possibility)</p> <p>Department: Finance</p> <p>Position Overview:</p> <p>We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting functions, preparing accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and making recommendations on systems and process to support this rapid growth phase. Quickbooks Online experience is required for those this position.</p> <p>What You'll Be Doing:</p> <p>General Ledger Management:</p> <ul> <li>Perform monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. </li><li>Analyze financial transactions and balances, identifying any discrepancies or issues and taking corrective action. </li><li>Record journal entries for a variety of accounts, including accruals, allocations, and adjustments. </li></ul> <p>Account Reconciliation and Reporting:</p> <ul> <li>Reconcile bank and credit card accounts, ensuring all discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner. </li><li>Prepare and review balance sheet and income statement schedules, identifying trends and providing insights for management. </li></ul> <p>Month-End and Year-End Close:</p> <ul> <li>Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring deadlines are met and all necessary adjustments are recorded. </li></ul> <p>Tax and Audit Support:</p> <ul> <li>Support the preparation of various tax filings, including sales tax, property tax, and income tax returns. </li><li>Assist with internal and external audits, providing documentation and explanations for financial transactions as needed. </li><li>Help maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy. </li></ul> <p>Process Improvement and Automation:</p> <ul> <li>Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve efficiency, and automate manual tasks. </li><li>Work with the finance team and management to implement best practices and continuous improvements. </li></ul> <p>What You Bring:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. </li><li>Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting. </li><li>Experience with QuickBooks online. </li><li>Strong understanding of GAAP </li><li>Prior experience in a start-up environment is a huge plus. </li><li>Prior experience with Software-as-a-Service is a huge plus </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Excel </li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. </li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments. </li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team. </li></ul> <p>Job Type: Full-time</p> <p>Pay: $80k-$90K DOE</p> <p>Why 401GO?</p> <p>At 401GO, we're not just changing retirement-we're reinventing it.
