<p>Seeking a candidate to provide mental health and substance use related prevention services targeting at-risk youth and adults. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in the behavioral health field and possess a knowledge base regarding standards of prevention services.</p> <p>This is an exciting position for a candidate who thrives in an autonomous role where you can use your creativity and initiative to establish and maintain partnerships with community organizations including schools, community centers, healthcare centers, and neighborhood organizations.</p> <p>This position is for you if you enjoy engaging in the community to increase knowledge and reduce stigma. This position provides education to raise awareness, share community resources, and may provide individual or group services and consultation through programs such as Youth Empowerment Support (YES) program; Youth Alternative Program (YAP) serving youth and young adult members of the LGBTQ+ community; and Conversations About Recovery and Support (CARS) program providing education and consultation for families and friends of individuals experiencing substance use.</p> <p>This role offers the opportunity to experience fulfillment and purpose as you aim to increase understanding of the stages of change, mental health and substance use disorders, and related topics for community members.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide individual, family, and group services to clients in the community. </li><li>Consult with schools, agencies, and community groups to develop initiatives aimed at improving community health and well-being. </li><li>Assist in the creation, planning, and implementation of community outreach programs </li><li>Act as a liaison between clients, families, and service providers to ensure proper coordination of care and support. </li><li>Develop and maintain relationships with community stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of services. </li><li>Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of outreach programs and suggest improvements where necessary. </li><li>Participate in community meetings and represent the agency at local events, providing information and resources to community members. </li></ul>
