<p>Job Description</p> <p>CDM Smith currently has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager with previous experience managing transportation projects to join and help lead our growing transportation group. In this position, you will manage complex transportation projects for major transportation agencies. You will lead multi-disciplined project teams, develop the scope and budget for transportation projects, assist with marketing and business development activities, and serve as a leader in our Transportation Group.</p> <p>As a leader in our program, you will serve our clients and deliver on exciting opportunities by:</p> <ul> <li>Serving as the Senior Project Manager for major transportation projects. </li><li>Working with current staff to enhance our transportation services capabilities. </li><li>Mentoring staff and helping to expand our transportation design and program management practice. </li><li>Leading the development of project scopes, schedules, and budgets, and monitoring and controlling project performance. </li><li>Performing Quality Control/Quality Assurance of key deliverables related to transportation projects managed by others. </li><li>Implementing CDM Smith's quality procedures throughout the project lifecycle. </li><li>Assisting with marketing and business development efforts to further expand our client base and project opportunities. </li></ul> <p>Employment Type</p> <p>Regular</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree. </li><li>10 years of related experience. </li><li>PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification is required (within 12 months of hire or promotion onto the Approved Project Manager list). </li><li>Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. </li><li>Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Previous experience managing transportation design projects for PennDOT and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission. </li><li>Professional Engineering license in Pennsylvania. </li><li>Active membership involvement in transportation related professional societies (ie ASHE, ACEC, ASCE, etc). </li></ul>
