<p>Pony Bird is seeking a Dietary Cook to join our team to enrich the lives of individuals with disabilities.</p> <p>STARTING PAY OF $19.00 PER HOUR PLUS DIFFERENTIALS</p> <p>WEEKEND SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL $2.00 PER HOUR</p> <p>EXCELLENT BENEFITS</p> <p>PAID TRAINING</p> <p>What does a Dietary Cook do?</p> <ul> <li>Provide quality meal preparation, service and delivery </li><li>Process and prepare food according to each individuals dietary guidelines </li><li>Perform a variety of routine kitchen duties </li><li>Operate kitchen equipment </li><li>Dishwashing </li><li>General cleaning </li><li>Adhere to federal, state, and local guidelines for safe and sanitary food handling, preparation, service and storage </li><li>Serve as a positive role model </li><li>Team-player who can also work independently </li><li>Maintain attendance according to the policy of the agency and position </li></ul> <p>Schedule:</p> <ul> <li>Day Shift 6:45am - 3:15pm *Required to work every other weekend </li><li>DeSoto </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with modified diets preferred (puree, ground, bite-size) </li><li>High School diploma or GED </li><li>Interpersonal communication skills </li><li>Ability to follow oral and written directions and problem solve </li><li>Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time </li><li>Ability to be flexible to provide the needs of the individuals served </li><li>General supervision will be provided by the Dietary Supervisor, but the employee must have the ability to work independently without direct supervision. </li></ul> <p>Learn more about what it's like to be a member of the Pony Bird team at www.ponybird.org/news</p> <p>Pony Bird, Inc is an Equal Opportunity Employer EOE/M/F/D/V/SO</p>
