<p>Overview</p> <p>Administrative Support Specialist</p> <p>Starting at $16.50 per hour</p> <p>ON-SITE</p> <p>The Administrative Support Specialist will provide support to the both the central business office and hospital staff by filling all records requests in regards to outstanding accounts receivables.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Inventory, review, follow-up, and respond to all medical records and itemized bill requests as required for payment. </li><li>Send out priority mail for the department and document the tracking information for our records. </li><li>Compile information for patient and insurance refund packets. </li><li>Communicate with facilities and/or patients regarding additional information needed for payment of claims. </li><li>Document in the Medhost system all verbal and written activities relative to that account. </li><li>Performs other duties and special projects as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent required. </li><li>One year of customer service experience - Retail/Hospitality/Banking/Healthcare </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of indemnity insurance practices, contracts and managed care ideal. </li><li>Computer Skills </li><li>Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, and Excel. </li><li>Ability to work with multiple programs simultaneously. </li><li>Good interpersonal skills including: face-to-face, verbal, electronic, and telephonic. </li><li>Professional Skills: </li><li>Accuracy and attention to Detail </li><li>Organized </li><li>Good time management skills in order to meet deadlines. </li><li>Ability to multitask </li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of team to reach a mutually established goals. </li><li>Flexible and open to change </li><li>This job requires access to confidential and sensitive information, requiring ongoing discretion and secure information management </li><li>Previous experience in metrics based role, where production/quality standards are upheld. </li></ul> <p>Additional Data</p> <p>Select Medical strives to provide our employees with a solid work-life balance, as we understand that happy employees have both fulfilling careers and fulfilling lives beyond our doors.</p> <ul> <li>An extensive and thorough paid orientation program. </li><li>Paid Time Off (PTO) and Extended Illness Days (EID). </li><li>Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance; Life insurance; Prescription coverage. </li><li>A 401(k) retirement plan with company match. </li><li>No Required Weekends </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions/Physical Demands:</p> <ul> <li>Office Environment </li><li>Sitting for extended periods of time </li><li>Ability to lift weight up to 35 lbs. </li></ul> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer/including Disabled/Veterans</p>
