<p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Bureau Director of Audit and Accounting (Administrative Manager) position is primarily responsible for managing staff and work planning for investor-owned and municipal electric rate cases, highly complex audits of electric and natural gas utilities, holding companies, and affiliated interests, and other financial investigations and policy updates before the Commission.</p> <p>This position serves as a significant and contributing member of the Division of Energy Regulation and Analysis' (DERA) Core Management Team (CMT) and works under the general supervision of the DERA Deputy Administrator. This position requires independent performance and decision-making in technical and highly complex matters affecting utility regulation throughout the state of Wisconsin.</p> <p>As the Commission's subject matter expert on accounting and audit policy issues, this position requires thorough knowledge of utility rate-making theory and accounting practices, including a thorough knowledge of the Uniform System of Accounts and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.</p> <p>To view the complete position description, email Benjamin Harwell at BenjaminK.Harwell@wisconsin.gov</p> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>This position is in schedule-range (81-01) with an annual salary of $109,262-$118,123, plus excellent benefits. A 2-year career executive trial period is required. Any appointment made will be contingent on the applicant being able to prove valid status to work in the United States.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Qualified applicants will have experience with all the following:</p> <ul> <li>Overseeing or managing the work of other professional staff, such as in a lead, supervisory, or comparable role. </li><li>Work prioritization and coordination of multiple initiatives at the same time. </li><li>Working with legal orders, policy, State and/or Federal statutes and codes within a regulatory environment. </li><li>Working with Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP) and/or Uniform System of Accounts (USOA). </li></ul> <p>In addition to having all of the above, well qualified applicants will have experience with two or more of the following:</p> <ul> <li>Utility regulation, utility policy, or utility operations. </li><li>Formal supervisory experience that includes overseeing a variety of professional staff, which may include other supervisors, multiple program areas, and/or performing a wide scope of management duties. </li><li>Developing and evaluating policy alternatives and making recommendations to decision makers on policy actions. </li></ul> <p>How To Apply</p> <p>Apply online!
