For more information, visit www.emmanuel.edu.</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Emmanuel College invites applications for a full-time Lecturer of Economics and Finance. We seek an engaging and student-focused educator committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching. The successful candidate will teach a variety of courses in both economics and finance and contribute to the College's commitment to preparing students for careers in economics, finance, and related fields. Candidates will be expected to show a willingness to embed issues of ethics and social responsibility into their courses and an eagerness to work closely with colleagues and undergraduate students.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Teach four undergraduate courses in economics and finance each fall and spring semester, including but not limited to Principles of macroeconomics, Economic development, Urban economics, Applied corporate finance, and other related courses. </li><li>Develop and implement innovative pedagogical approaches that enhance student learning and engagement. </li><li>Advise and mentor students pursuing careers in economics and finance, providing guidance on academic planning, internships, and career opportunities. </li><li>Participate in departmental meetings and curriculum development to enhance the economics and finance programs. </li><li>Contribute to the academic community through service on college committees and participation in faculty activities. </li><li>Stay current with developments in the fields of economics and finance to maintain teaching relevance and academic rigor. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Candidates must have a Master's degree in Economics and/or Finance; a Ph.D. is preferred. Demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching, with experience in both economics and finance, along with the ability to teach a variety of courses in economics and finance, including introductory and advanced-level courses is essential. Candidates must have a strong commitment to student success, including mentoring and advising.</p> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Emmanuel College values a welcoming and supportive community for all.
