<p>Description</p> <p>Job ID</p> <p>AF9577-3401-1930</p> <p>Position Classification</p> <p>FT Administrator</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>Communicate all environmental safety policies and procedures to the University Community, including developing and maintaining the environmental safety website.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work across departments, colleges and schools. </li><li>Demonstrate the ability to respond to emergencies and critical situations. </li><li>Knowledge of OSHA, EPA and DEQ regulations. </li><li>Demonstrate the ability to organize, prioritize and manage the successful completion of reports and safety manual. </li><li>Lead and work with the University Wide Safety Team. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Education - A college degree or four to eight years of experience in related field. </li><li>Experience - Six month to two years (Equivalent combination of education and employment). </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Science and safety background</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work across departments and university colleges and schools. </li><li>Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to respond to emergencies and critical situations appropriately. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and manage the successful completion of reports and safety manuals. </li><li>Ability to create and utilize documents using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. </li><li>Ability to develop and revise web-pages in Cascade. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <p>Job may require lifting light weight objects (1 to 10 pounds) with no repetitive bending or stooping. Occasionally lift average weight objects (1 to 10 pounds).</p> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>Occasional exposure to objectionable conditions or variations such as those found in variable weather conditions or light industrial settings.</p> <p>Salary/Pay Information</p> <p>Commensurate with experience.</p> <p>Anticipated Schedule</p> <p>Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.</p> <p>Employee Benefits</p> <p>At the University of Detroit Mercy we continually strive to provide a high-quality, comprehensive benefits package to our valued employees.
