Step into a role where you'll support the planning and delivery of electric distribution projects that enhance reliability, enable modernization, and meet the evolving needs of our clients.</p> <p>CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking an Engineer I to join our Electric Distribution Team at a client site near Norwell, MA. In this role, you will work alongside experienced professionals to develop practical engineering solutions, gain hands-on experience in utility design, and build the foundation for a successful career in the energy sector-all while helping power the communities we serve.</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Assist in the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions for electric distribution infrastructure including overhead and underground systems </li><li>Support senior engineers in preparing technical reports, contract documents, and cost estimates for grid resiliency and energy transition projects </li><li>Perform calculations and design tasks using industry standards, regulatory guidelines, and best practices for optimizing energy delivery </li><li>Join field assignments with senior staff to gain hands-on experience in assessment, planning, and rehabilitation of electric distribution systems </li></ul> <p>What You Bring:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required </li><li>No experience required; however prior internships and/or relevant coursework is preferred </li><li>Strong theoretical foundation and familiarity with engineering software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.) </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office </li><li>Excellent communication skills and a desire to work in a collaborative team </li><li>Participation in professional engineering society/organization preferred </li><li>Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification a plus </li></ul> <p>Why You'll Love It Here:</p> <ul> <li>Gain exposure to fieldwork and technical problem-solving in critical energy infrastructure </li><li>Flexible work environment with opportunities for local and occasional travel </li><li>Make a real impact by helping deliver reliable, resilient, and sustainable power to communities </li></ul> <p>Curious about the impactful work our Electric Distribution team is doing?
