<p>PURPOSE STATEMENT:</p> <p>Provide basic patient care under the direction of a professional nurse.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Under the direct supervision of a professional nurse, perform and assist with various tasks related to ECT including basic patient care, direct and indirect diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. </li><li>Provide service to the following age population(s): older adults and adults in a manner that demonstrate understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. </li><li>Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always.? When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints.? Recognize that patient safety is a top priority. </li></ul> <p>OTHER FUNCTIONS:</p> <p>Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.</p> <p>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent along with at least 12 college credits required. Two or more years' experience in Human Services Field; OR </li><li>Associate's Degree with major in human services field and two or more years' experience in human services field; OR </li><li>Bachelor's Degree with major in human services field and one year of experience in human services field. </li><li>EMT or paramedic experience preferred. </li></ul> <p>LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>ACLS Certification and IV Certification required. </li><li>CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility). </li><li>First aid may be required based on state or facility.
