<p>Fairmont Anaheim Hills Campus is seeking a dedicated and skilled Middle School English Language Learners (ELL) Teacher to join our semi-sheltered program within our IFC (International Foundation Center) Department. This position focuses on developing students' English proficiency through content-based instruction in English, History, Science, and a dedicated language development class. The ideal candidate will be adept at differentiating instruction to support a mixed-grade level class with varying language abilities and have experience working with young international students.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Design and implement engaging, content-based lessons that integrate the four skills of language learning: reading, writing, speaking, and listening. </li><li>Teach English, History, Science, and an ELL-focused language course to middle school students. </li><li>Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse language proficiency levels within a mixed-grade level classroom. </li><li>Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, including scaffolding, visual aids, hands-on activities, and collaborative learning. </li><li>Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to take linguistic risks. </li><li>Assess students' progress regularly and adjust instruction to meet their needs. </li><li>Collaborate with colleagues, including content-area teachers and support staff, to align curriculum and provide comprehensive student support. </li><li>Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and language development. </li><li>Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in ELL and content-based instruction. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Must hold a bachelors degree in Education or related field</p> <p>Must be able to use technology effectively in the classroom</p> <p>Must be able to communicate with entire school community-students, parents, faculty, staff</p> <p>Requirements / Qualifications</p>
