<p>Job Description:</p> <p>POSITION:</p> <p>Interim Assistant High School Principal</p> <p>LOCATION:</p> <p>Oxford High School</p> <p>RESPONSIBLE TO:</p> <p>Principal</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Assist the Principal in the administration of the building/school activities </li><li>Serve as building administrator/leader in the absence of the Principal </li><li>Monitor and enforce district & school policies </li><li>Facilitate disciplinary procedures, actions, and record-keeping </li><li>Assist in the supervision of maintaining accurate student records </li><li>Supervise and evaluate certified and non-certified staff as assigned by the Principal </li><li>Assist in leading Student Attendance Team and MTSS meetings </li><li>Participate in PPT and 504 meetings as the administrator </li><li>Attend school events, functions, and athletic events </li><li>Manage emergency and/or urgent situations as they emerge </li><li>Assist in developing improvement plans, processes, procedures, and strategies to increase student achievement </li><li>Assist in the selection, retention, and promotion of certified and non-certified personnel </li></ul> <p>Position requires an exceptional leader:</p> <ul> <li>with a minimum of five years teaching experience; administrative experience preferred. </li><li>with Connecticut Certification for Intermediate Administration and Supervision (092) or eligibility. </li><li>with effective interpersonal skills in working with high school students, their parents, and school staff. </li><li>with strong planning, organizational and technology skills specific to administrative tasks. </li><li>with an academic background in education, which includes study in the area of educational administration and teacher evaluation/ supervision. </li><li>who manifests collaborative decision-making within a professional learning community. </li></ul> <p>REQUIRED:</p> <p>092 Intermediate Administration or Supervision Endorsement</p> <p>SALARY:</p> <p>Per diem rate of pay</p> <p>STARTING DATE:</p> <p>August 25, 2025</p> <p>DURATION:</p> <p>Tentatively August 25, 2025 to October 24, 2025 (may be extended)</p> <p>CLOSING DATE:</p> <p>Open until filled</p> <p>POSTING DATE:</p> <p>July 25, 2025</p>
