<p>Summary:</p> <p>The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for managing the procurement process of goods and ensuring the timely acquisition of materials and supplies needed for production. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing within the manufacturing sector, exceptional Excel skills and experience using Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP systems.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Manage the procurement of materials, components and services to support manufacturing operations. </li><li>Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers (i.e. negotiating pricing, terms, delivery schedules) </li><li>Analyze and evaluate supplier performance to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness and reliability. </li><li>Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions. </li><li>Monitor inventory levels and forecast needs to prevent production delays. </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Production, R&D, Quality, Regulatory and Finance to meet company objectives. </li><li>Coordinate with Finance to ensure accurate payment processing for suppliers and resolve any invoice discrepancies. </li><li>Navigate and become proficient in propriety ERP system and update information and pricing as needed. </li><li>Maintain and extract data from ERP system to ensure system integrity and provide key reports using advanced spreadsheet formulas and practices </li><li>Participate as a purchasing project liaison for Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Regulatory groups as new products and/or packaging are being introduced. </li><li>Advise superiors of changes in market conditions that may/will affect cost. </li><li>Actively participate in weekly commercialization and production meetings. </li><li>Coordinate with production schedules, product revisions and inventory with contract manufacturers. </li><li>Update specifications and bills of material for finished goods. </li><li>Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards. </li><li>Other duties may be assigned </li></ul> <p>Qualifications and Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field preferred. </li><li>Experience: 2+ years of purchasing experience in the manufacturing industry. </li><li>Ingredient experience preferred but not required. </li><li>Proficient with purchasing software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). </li><li>Ability to work independently as well as with collective teams and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Some travel required in this position. </li></ul> <p>The pay range for this role considers a wide range of factors including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, geographical location, and other organizational needs.</p> <p>The estimated pay range for this role is $50,871 Min to $76,307 Max per year.</p> <p>Additionally, you will be eligible to participate in a bonus incentive program associated with this specific role.</p>
