<p>Extinguisher Technician</p> <p>Position Overview:</p> <p>This position is responsible for Fire Extinguisher inspections, service, and installations.</p> <p>This role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career with a growing company. The Extinguisher Technician position offers room for advancement into other roles as the organization continues to expand. We are looking for someone who is dependable, motivated, and eager to learn.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Perform monthly and annual inspections of portable fire extinguishers & complete required documentation </li><li>Perform annual inspections of exit/emergency lighting systems and complete required documentation </li><li>Dismantle extinguishers and examine mechanical parts, extinguishing agents, and expelling contents </li><li>Replace worn or damaged parts, recharge extinguishers with approved materials </li><li>Hydrotesting/Hydrostatic Requalification of Fire Extinguisher Cylinders </li><li>Replace failed batteries in exit/emergency lights </li><li>Perform installation of fire extinguisher cabinets and portable fire extinguishers </li><li>Perform evaluations of site to ensure they meet the code requirements for spacing of portable fire extinguishers </li></ul> <p>Important Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Skilled in inspection, repair, maintenance and testing of portable fire extinguishers and life safety lighting </li><li>Ability to work independently and efficiently to complete assigned tasks </li><li>Strong organizational skills </li><li>Proficient in the use of mobile technology platforms </li><li>Must be able to pass a drug screen </li><li>Must have favorable motor vehicle report </li></ul>
