<p>Xavier University's Division of Student Affairs seeks qualified applicants for the position of Gallagher Student Center Manager. This position is a twelve-month, exempt role that supports student belonging and success by providing leadership for the Gallagher Student Center, our multipurpose college union and hub for student activities. The ideal candidate enjoys working directly with college students and providing oversight and direction for a multi-functional facility that includes office, retail, and event space. The ability to anticipate and respond to the needs of students, employees, and visitors is essential to this role. This position reports to the Assistant Vice President for Leadership and Engagement in the Division of Student Affairs.</p> <p>JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Provide leadership and direction for the Gallagher Student Center, including managing facility reservation requests and audio-visual support. </li><li>Manage the Gallagher Student Center student employment program and supervise a team of 10-12 student managers and 40 student welcome desk assistants. </li><li>Facilitate Gallagher Student Center programming and events, including recurring programming series and watch parties, community blood drives, and local elections. </li><li>Develop, forecast and monitor budgets for student employment, programming, and facility needs. </li></ul> <p>The Manager is as a member of the Office of Student Involvement, Gallagher Student Center and Commuter Services team and engages in departmental programming and decision-making. In addition to supporting the Gallagher Student Center, the department facilitates campus activities and leadership programs, supports and oversees 150+ student organizations, oversees new student orientation and transition programs, advises the Student Government Association, supports commuter and off-campus students, and coordinates processes and policies for many available campus resources.</p> <p>JOB REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration or related field </li><li>1-3 years of experience in college student affairs, student development, or related role. Graduate assistantship experience that is directly related to the role can be considered as eligible experience </li><li>Written and oral communication proficiency </li><li>Prior experience supervising college-age students </li><li>Experience with event planning and budget management </li><li>Working knowledge of basic audio-visual systems </li></ul> <p>This position will start on July 7, 2025.</p> <p>To ensure consideration, qualified/interested applicants must submit a cover letter, resume and the names and contact information of three professional references on Xavier University's website.
