<p>Description</p> <p>Discover your exciting role</p> <p>Exential is currently seeking an Expert Estimator in Cambridge, MA. This role is responsible for following the construction estimating process for process piping construction projects, and adhering to standardized procedures, methods and processes for estimating established within Exential.</p> <p>Explore your tasks and responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Review project plans, specifications, and scopes to ensure complete and accurate estimates are provided. </li><li>Identify project risks, constructability issues, and cost impacts. </li><li>Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing. </li><li>Prepare and review bid packages, instructions to bidders, and internal budget pricing. </li><li>Develop conceptual estimates with limited information. </li><li>Review schedules, logistics plans, scopes of work, and related project documents. </li><li>Document and maintain all bid information throughout the estimating process. </li><li>Fill scope gaps and provide detailed cost breakouts for customers. </li><li>Mentor junior estimators and support team development. </li><li>Track construction and material cost trends to improve estimate accuracy. </li><li>Analyze alternate methods to determine the most cost-effective solutions. </li><li>Build strong relationships with customers, design teams, contractors, and suppliers. </li><li>Participate in project turnover and kickoff meetings for awarded projects. </li><li>Assist in preparing proposal letters and evaluating estimating technologies. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Show your expertise</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED required </li><li>Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field is preferred </li><li>8+ years of experience in construction </li><li>Prior experience in Mechanical or Process Piping Estimating is required </li><li>Proficient in at least one commercially available estimating software system, EBM or Accubid </li></ul> <p>About Exentec and Exential</p> <p>As a wholly owned subsidiary of Exyte Group, Exential provides solutions that are designed to deliver mechanical, electrical, and process piping systems to all markets.
