Personal attributes in the areas of communication, collaboration, integrity, positive approach and growth mindset are key.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Work with ML students providing English language development instruction </li><li>Collaborate with classroom teachers in creating ILP and ensure that the classroom teachers have access to and are implementing the accommodations and modifications within the ILP with fidelity. </li><li>Consistent and frequent collaboration with classroom teachers to ensure instruction and assessment is appropriate for the student at their current level of English proficiency. </li><li>Offer English Learner support within the classroom to create opportunities for joint productive activities between MLs and their native-English speaking peers </li><li>Administering WIDA Screener, WIDA ACCESS, Kindergarten ACCESS, and Alternate ACCESS </li><li>Assist in development and implementation of ILP goals and accommodations </li><li>Communicate with families about ML program-related information in a timely manner and in accordance with state and federal regulations </li><li>Direct instructional assistants in providing an effective ML program that addresses the needs of individual students </li><li>Assist in coordinating building and district level program development and review </li><li>Provide EL expertise in meetings regarding ML students' behavior (MTSS), ML students with disabilities (Case conferences), ML students being referred for Special Education evaluation, ML students being recommended for retention, ML students who are also high ability, and other school-based processes pertaining to ML students. </li><li>Remain current in the latest educational research, especially in second language acquisition </li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned </li><li>Make instructional decisions for students regarding interventions </li><li>Analyze data and organize intervention groups </li><li>Progress monitoring/regrouping </li><li>Guide and support intervention team </li><li>Works with classroom teacher on Tier 1 interventions </li><li>Member of building MTSS team </li><li>Attend PLC to help with intervention plans </li><li>Questions please contact Melissa McIntire - melissa.mcintire@clinton.k12.in.us (765)249-2515 ext 3309 </li><li>Contract Days: 184 Days </li></ul> <p>Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree </li><li>Appropriate Indiana Education Licensure </li><li>Experience in working with challenging youth </li><li>Experience in running a virtual classroom </li><li>Able to work effectively and communicate with a wide range of students, staff and administration. </li><li>Proficient and competent demonstration of reading and writing capabilities. </li><li>Strong human relations skills, including professional tact, diplomacy and presentation. </li><li>Multi-tasking ability and strong organizational skills. </li><li>Ability to utilize 21st century technological skills to enhance teaching and learning. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. </li><li>Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. </li><li>Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on the telephone. </li></ul> <p>TERF, 401A, 403B, Several Health Insurance Options, Vision Insurance, Dental Insurance, Wellness Clinic, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance</p>
