This position provides coverage for multiple client sites and requires a professional who can quickly adjust to new environments, follow varying post orders, and maintain a high level of customer service and situational awareness.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Floater Security Officer supports our operations by filling in at various sites within the designated region. Assignments may vary day-to-day depending on scheduling needs, call-offs, vacations, or special coverage requests. This role is essential in ensuring continuous safety and security for our clients.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Provide on-site security coverage at different locations throughout Chicago and nearby suburbs </li><li>Conduct foot and vehicle patrols, monitor surveillance equipment, and perform access control duties </li><li>Greet and assist visitors, employees, and contractors in a professional and courteous manner </li><li>Write clear and detailed daily activity reports, incident reports, and any documentation required by the site </li><li>Enforce all site-specific rules, policies, and safety procedures </li><li>Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and security-related concerns </li><li>Maintain communication with dispatch, supervisors, and site management throughout each shift </li><li>Adapt to changing post orders and expectations depending on the assignment </li><li>Represent the company with professionalism, reliability, and integrity at all times </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Valid driver's license with a clean driving record </li><li>Own, reliable vehicle (frequent travel between sites required) </li><li>Previous security experience, preferably in floater, flex, mobile patrol, or multi-site roles </li><li>Active IL PERC guard card </li><li>Illinois 20-hour Basic Security Training certificate </li><li>Ability to work a flexible schedule with open availability, including weekends and holidays </li><li>Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and perform patrol duties in varying weather conditions </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Ability to remain calm, observant, and professional in high-pressure or rapidly changing situations </li><li>Dependable, punctual, and able to respond to coverage requests on short notice when needed </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <ul> <li>Officers must be comfortable working at different client sites such as office buildings, residential properties, retail centers, industrial sites, and event locations </li><li>Travel is a regular part of this position; assignments may be scheduled in advance or same-day depending on operational needs </li><li>Opportunities for additional hours may become available based on performance and staffing needs </li></ul> <p>If you are a motivated security professional who values variety, flexibility, and the opportunity to expand your experience across multiple environments, we invite you to apply!</p> <p>IL #122-001049</p> <p>IL #123.000460</p> <p>Education Requirements (All)</p> <p>GED or H.S.
