<p>The Medical Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations in a healthcare setting. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Greet patients and visitors in a friendly, professional manner. </li><li>Answer and direct phone calls as needed. </li><li>Maintain accurate patient records and update electronic health systems. </li><li>Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including faxes and emails. </li><li>Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes. </li><li>Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely patient flow. </li><li>Maintain a clean and organized reception area. </li><li>Adhere to HIPAA and other regulatory requirements. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent (required). </li><li>Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role (preferred). </li><li>Proficiency with scheduling software and electronic health records (EHR). </li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Knowledge of medical terminology (a plus). </li></ul> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boston, MA.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
