It is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all North Carolinians, providing human service needs for special populations including individuals who are deaf, blind, developmentally disabled, and mentally ill, and helping poor North Carolinians achieve economic independence.</p> <p>Description of Work</p> <p>Early Intervention Service Coordinators (EISCs) are the heart of Early Intervention! They provide service coordination for children in the NC Infant-Toddler Program and support to their families and caregivers. Research shows that birth to three is a critical period for working with families to support their competence and confidence as their child's first and most important teacher. The birth-to-three period offers a window of opportunity to make a positive difference in how a child develops and learns. EISCs typically have the flexibility of telework and a hybrid workplace.</p> <p>EISC duties include:</p> <ul> <li>Working with families and team members to develop functional Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) </li><li>Working with multi-disciplinary teams to determine families' needs for supports and services </li><li>Conducting home visits </li><li>Coordinating services, such as speech and physical therapy </li><li>Arranging and monitoring other early intervention services </li><li>Planning for transition to other services at age three </li></ul> <p>Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences</p> <p>Salary Grade Range $35,984 - $62,971</p> <p>Recruitment Range $35,984 - $59,790</p> <p>Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences</p> <p>Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement.</p> <p>The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required.
