Be part of an extraordinary life!</p> <p>The Cypress of Charlotte is recruiting for a hospitality focused Dietary Supervisor to join our culinary team! The shift is a full time position that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The hours for this role will be 11:30am to 8:00pm. Please only apply if you are able to work these hours.</p> <p>Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Dietary Supervisor:</p> <ul> <li>Works under the direction and supervision of Dietary Manager and Dietician. </li><li>Assists in the planning, scheduling and supervising of Health Center dietary personnel. </li><li>Assists dietary manager and dietitian in developing all menus for Health Center residents, assessing preferences and nutritional needs. Assists in assuring staff education is provided to dietary personnel in accordance with the staff education plan plus provides on the job training for Health Center dietary personnel. </li><li>Assists in developing work assignments for all dietary personnel assigning specific jobs and spot checking work to ensure standards are met. </li><li>Opening and closing operational responsibilities. </li><li>Assures that each resident's nutritional adequacy is met by utilizing the assurance of Nutritional Adequacy Policy. </li><li>Maintains pertinent and appropriate records, reports, schedules and studies as required by local, state and federal regulations and otherwise requested. </li><li>Initiates and supervises the completion of staff in-services and trainings as assigned. </li><li>Works with dietitian to assist in all meal changes or any doctor's requests. </li><li>Interviews new admissions and documents food preferences on the approved form. </li><li>Contacts the dietary manager or dietitian between scheduled visits if unplanned or special therapeutic diets are ordered. </li><li>Assures that meal tallies are accurate on a daily basis. </li></ul> <p>Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma/GED required. </li><li>A minimum of 2 years' supervisory experience in food service operations of a health care setting. </li><li>Prefer experience as a Sous Chef </li><li>Experience with performing clinical assessments on residents, meeting with Care Plan Team, and performing input on MDS. </li><li>Hold a Certification in Dietary Management (C.D.M.) in healthcare. </li><li>ServSafe Certified preferred. </li><li>Prefer experience in a long-term health care environment. </li><li>Ability to communicate with, understand, empathize with, work with and be tolerant of residents, families, visitors, peers, supervisors, and subordinates. </li><li>Ability to interpret and explain menus, refer or answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understand requests. </li><li>Must be able to effectively communicate, read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English. </li></ul> <p>Pay range $20 - $25 per hour, depending on experience.</p> <p>PERKS OUTSIDE OF THE PAYCHECK:</p> <ul> <li>Optional Daily Pay (work today, get paid tomorrow) </li><li>Employee Referral Bonus Program </li><li>Employee Recognition Program </li><li>Employee Discount Program </li><li>Employee Appreciation Bonuses </li><li>Senior advocacy </li><li>Rewarding hospitality-driven environment </li><li>Growth opportunities </li><li>Diverse culture </li><li>Open door atmosphere </li><li>Free employee meals </li><li>Free parking </li><li>Flexible work schedule </li><li>Beautiful, resort-like campus on over 60-acres </li></ul> <p>Available benefits for full-time employees include medical, dental, vision, company paid life insurance, disability, 401(k) with company match, and a generous paid time off program.
