<p>Overview</p> <p>Utah State University is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to serve as the Institutional Effectiveness Officer in the Office of Data & Analytics. This position plays a key role in aligning institutional effectiveness efforts with USU's mission and strategic priorities. This role will collaborate across departments, build university-wide partnerships, and champion a culture of continuous improvement-ensuring USU remains an innovative, data-informed, and student-centered institution.</p> <p>This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and analytical thinker who thrives in complex systems, understands the nuances of higher education, and is passionate about using data and collaboration to drive institutional success.</p> <p>This position is eligible for hybrid work within the state of Utah.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Lead the design and implementation of institutional effectiveness initiatives aligned with USU's strategic goals. </li><li>Build strong partnerships across the university to foster collaboration and shared accountability. </li><li>Navigate organizational complexities with diplomacy and clarity to align cross-campus priorities. </li><li>Partner with Institutional Research to develop and track key institutional metrics. </li><li>Ensure compliance with NWCCU accreditation standards, coordinating reports and continuous readiness. </li><li>Support meaningful program-level assessment of student learning in alignment with mission fulfillment. </li><li>Promote and facilitate a culture of continuous improvement through data-driven decision-making. </li><li>Engage stakeholders across the institution in improvement and accountability efforts related to academic quality and student learning. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Higher Education Administration, Educational Leadership, Institutional Research). </li><li>Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in higher education, strategic planning, accreditation, institutional effectiveness, or related areas. </li><li>Demonstrated experience with accreditation processes, preferably with NWCCU or similar accrediting bodies. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience in directing student learning assessment programs. </li><li>Familiarity with higher education data systems and reporting tools. </li><li>Experience in a leadership role within a higher education setting. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and use data to drive decision-making. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively. </li><li>Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments and with a diverse group of stakeholders. </li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. </li></ul> <p>Required Documents</p> <p>Along with the online application, please attach:</p> <p>Resume/CV to be uploaded at the beginning of your application in the Candidate Profile under "Resume/CV" Cover letter to be typed/pasted at the end of your application</p> <p>Document size may not exceed 10 MB.</p> <p>Advertised Salary</p> <p>Minimum $85,000; Commensurate with experience, plus excellent benefits</p> <p>ADA</p> <p>Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes.
