<p>Position: Transportation Supervisor at Elida Local Schools Application Deadline: April 4, 2025 or until filled</p> <p>The transportation supervisor oversees the safe and efficient operation of a school district's transportation program, including scheduling, routing, and efficient bus operations, managing personnel, and ensuring compliance with regulations and district policies.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Developing and maintaining bus routes and schedules for regular school transportation, field trips, and extracurricular activities </li><li>Plans and coordinates specialized transportation for students with disabilities </li><li>Supervises, trains, and evaluates the performance of transportation personnel </li><li>Recruit and make hiring recommendations for transportation personnel </li><li>Ensures all vehicles meet safety standards </li><li>Communicates effectively with parents, school staff, and others regarding transportation matters Qualifications: </li><li>Minimum of a high school diploma. </li><li>Post-secondary transportation training or work experience is required. </li><li>Holds or is qualified to obtain a state issued pupil transportation certification. </li><li>Clean BCI/FBI record. </li><li>Valid driver's license. </li><li>Must have or be able to obtain a valid CDL to operate a school bus </li><li>Previous transportation supervisory and/or logistics experience is preferred To Apply: Application materials should be sent electronically to Mr. Joel Mengerink at the following email: jmengerink@elida.k12.oh.us Please include a cover letter, resume and contact information for three (3) references. </li></ul> <p>Contact Information: Mr. Joel Mengerink, Superintendent Elida Local School District Email: jmengerink@elida.k12.oh.us</p> <p>Deadline to Apply: April 4, 2025 or until filled.</p>
