The CNA plays a vital role in assisting residents with daily activities, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming. </li><li>Assist with transfers, lifting, and positioning residents as needed. </li><li>Observe and report changes in residents' conditions, documenting care provided. </li><li>Ensure a clean, homelike environment for residents. </li><li>Participate in restorative nursing/therapy activities. </li><li>Report accidents, incidents, or concerns involving residents, staff, or visitors. </li><li>Work collaboratively with nursing and other team members to ensure optimal care delivery. </li><li>Follow all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and using required safety equipment. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <p>The physical demands required for this role include:</p> <ul> <li>Standing, sitting, walking, and changing positions frequently. </li><li>Lifting up to 25 lbs and assisting with heavier lifting, utilizing proper techniques. </li><li>Pushing and pulling up to 100 lbs, including moving residents of 350lbs in wheelchairs. </li><li>Adhering to safety protocols, including the use of mechanical lifts and two-person lift procedures. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High school graduate or equivalent. </li><li>Must be 16 years of age or older. </li><li>Valid CNA certification in the state of employment. </li><li>Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred, but not required. </li></ul> <p>Americare Senior Living is an Equal Opportunity Employer</p> <p>Americare is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
