<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Responsible for coaching women's basketball at the intercollegiate level. Candidate will work in conjunction with the Director of Athletics in arranging game and practice schedules. Will conduct all practice sessions and coach at all games. Accompanies team on all trips to and from the College. Recruits student/athletes and performs necessary administrative duties including game score and statistics reports to Presto.</p> <p>Responsibilities and Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Teach all aspects of the game of basketball through fundamentals of offense and defense in daily practice sessions. </li><li>Recruit and maintain an active women's basketball team roster to develop a competitive team. </li><li>Develop and evaluate player performance. </li><li>Conduct and supervise all practices. </li><li>Schedule and attend all contests (games and scrimmages). </li><li>Ensure students comply with all athletics policies and procedures. </li><li>Coordinate team travel arrangements, lodging, and travel itineraries. </li><li>Report game scores, statistics, and information to Presto Sports. </li><li>Assist with maintenance and updates to the athletics/basketball portion of the website. </li><li>Assist the Equipment Manager with maintenance of basketball program equipment. </li><li>Train and supervise the assistant women's basketball coach. </li><li>Coordinate and supervise fundraisers and appropriately manage fundraising budget. </li><li>Appropriately manage, in cooperation with the Athletic Director, the women's basketball budget. </li><li>Support student athletes who wish to transfer to four-year institutions/teams. </li><li>Supervise and assist student-athletes in community projects. </li><li>Maintain office hours and correspondence files. </li><li>Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Athletic Director. </li><li>Focuses on the Commonwealth's Equity Agenda by applying related best practices throughout all job functions. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in a sport-related field is preferred. Previous coaching experience of a women's team at an intercollegiate level preferred. Current CPR certification. The ability to work nights and weekends is a must.</p> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Position Status: Part-time, Non-benefited position</p> <p>Hours: 20 hours per week, includes nights and weekends (Not to exceed 936 hours annually)</p> <p>Salary: $10,000.00 per season</p> <p>Worksite: Assignments will include all Massasoit sites and additional locations as necessary.</p> <p>Deadline to Apply: May 30, 2025</p> <p>Application Instructions:</p> <p>A cover letter and resume are required, please apply online.
