In this role, the successful candidate will create design packages for both standard products and for custom projects. The candidate will also serve as the design engineering point of contact for all air traffic control projects. This position must be 100% in-office in Frederick, MD.</p> <p>Your tasks</p> <ul> <li>Design and draw mechanical components for server rack assemblies using Siemens NX </li><li>Create and release assembly BOMs using R&S PDM software </li><li>Produce drawings for both internal and external manufacturing </li><li>Produce assembly drawings, and electrical diagrams for production floor </li><li>Interpret and present designs using neat, accurate, and well-planned engineering drawing methods </li><li>Serve as peer reviewer and technical expert for all drawings produced by team </li><li>Maintain and enforce design and drafting standards across the Design Engineering team </li><li>Work closely with systems engineering, planning, and technicians to optimize designs for production </li><li>Work independently on multiple projects concurrently </li></ul> <p>Exciting insights into Rohde & Schwarz</p> <p>Our colleagues provide insider information about:</p> <ul> <li>Daily adventures and challenges </li><li>Our passionate team </li><li>The technologies behind the innovative projects and solutions </li></ul> <p>Your browser does not support the video tag</p> <p>Your qualifications</p> <ul> <li>BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field </li><li>Minimum 8 years of professional engineering experience </li><li>3+ years of experience working with government regulations (FAA, MIL, IEC, etc.) </li><li>Knowledge of industry drafting standards (ASME) </li><li>Experience reviewing and implementing GD&T </li><li>Experience working within a PDM/PLM system </li><li>3D parametric modeling experience, preferably Siemens NX, others acceptable </li><li>Working knowledge of MS Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) </li><li>Excellent problem-solving and time management skills </li><li>Ability to understand other engineering disciplines' needs and translate to mechanical requirements </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Preferred but not required - Knowledge of SAP </li><li>Preferred but not required - Experience using Microsoft Visio </li><li>Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% </li><li>In order to be considered, candidates must be a US citizen capable of receiving a US Government security clearance </li></ul> <p>Interested?</p> <p>We are looking forward to receiving your application!</p> <p>The total compensation for this position is $83K-$111K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level.
