<p>Therapeutic Learning Program Missituk Elementary School JobID: 3596</p> <p>Position Type:</p> <p>Elementary School Teaching</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>12/11/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Elementary - Missituk</p> <p>  Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>Special Education Therapeutic Learning Program Teacher</p> <p>Grade Level: Elementary</p> <p>Job Description: Special Education Therapeutic Learning Program Teacher</p> <p>Teach and case manage a small classroom of students requiring direct, appropriate individualized</p> <p>and small group instruction, based on IEP goals and objectives, within a highly supported</p> <p>setting. The teacher participates in the supervision of paraprofessional staff, and service</p> <p>providers in a team oriented educational setting. There is a strong focus on self-management skill</p> <p>development to prepare students for inclusion success.</p> <p>Responsibilities include:</p> <p>Planning and implementing curriculum aligned with Massachusetts Curriculum</p> <p>Frameworks.</p> <p>Planning and implementation of social emotional learning curriculum.</p> <p>Plans and directs paraprofessional staff assigned to the classroom or to specific students</p> <p>under the teacher's scope of direct or indirect supervision.</p> <p>Completing Educational Assessments, collaborative FBAs, etc.</p> <p>Engage in liaison duties for a caseload of students to ensure full implementation of</p> <p>student IEPs, monitor student progress, support student programming, and alert the</p> <p>Team of any need to convene a Team meeting.</p> <p>Participate in the development of Individualized Education Programs, Progress Reports</p> <p>and student program books.</p> <p>Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the</p> <p>maturity and interests of the students.</p> <p>Assist the administration in implementing all policies and rules governing student life</p> <p>and conduct, and, for the classroom, develop reasonable rules for classroom behavior</p> <p>and procedures, and maintain order in the classroom through implementation of positive</p> <p>behavioral supports, as well as implementation of individual student behavior</p> <p>intervention plans.</p> <p>Be available to students and parent for education-related purposes outside the</p> <p>instructional day when required or requested to do so under reasonable terms.</p> <p>Perform other duties and responsibilities consistent with this role/position as assigned by</p> <p>the Director of Pupil Services, Special Education Coordinator or Principal.</p> <p>Degree Preferred: Masters</p> <p>Experience Preferred: 3 years</p> <p>Additional Requirements:</p> <p>Massachusetts Moderate Disabilities PreK-8 license required</p> <p>Salary is in accordance with the Medford Teachers Association Contract:</p> <p>https://resources.finalsite.net/images/v1748907946/mps02155org/ojucu0g0wo9axcmcc9e1/MTAFY26-FY28CBAJuly12025-August312028SignedMay192025CorrectedJune22025.pdf</p>
