We would encourage you to apply for a job at Premier Members Credit Union, even if you don't meet every one of our qualifications listed. </li></ul> <p>This is a full-time position working 40 hours a week, hours Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm.</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY:</p> <p>The Retail Training Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and management of training programs for retail staff within the credit union. This position focuses on ensuring that staff members in retail branches are well-equipped with the knowledge and skills to deliver excellent member service, effectively promote products and services, and comply with credit union policies and procedures. The Assistant Manager will support the Retail Training Manager in providing ongoing training, coaching, and development opportunities for branch personnel, driving performance and member satisfaction.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Assist in developing, delivering, and updating training programs for retail staff, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. </li><li>Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions on products, services, systems, customer service techniques, and compliance policies. </li><li>Monitor, evaluate, and provide feedback on the effectiveness of training programs and recommend improvements. </li><li>Maintain up-to-date training materials, including manuals, guides, and online resources. </li><li>Develop and implement follow-up training to ensure retention and application of skills learned. </li><li>Assist in ensuring all retail training is compliant with credit union policies, industry regulations, and best practices. </li><li>Help maintain records of training attendance, certifications, and performance outcomes. </li><li>Stay current on new products, services, and industry trends to ensure training content remains relevant and impactful. </li><li>Work closely with the Retail Training Manager and branch leadership to identify emerging training needs and tailor programs accordingly. </li><li>Collaborate with other departments, such as HR and compliance, to integrate necessary training into retail operations. </li><li>Ensure that training programs emphasize a strong focus on providing exceptional member experiences, improving service delivery, and increasing member satisfaction. </li><li>Contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing member relationships and promoting credit union values. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Education/Certification:</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or equivalent. </li><li>Associate or bachelor's degree in business, Training, Human Resources, or a related field preferred. </li><li>Completion of Credit Union-related product knowledge and regulatory training is beneficial. </li></ul> <p>Required Knowledge:</p> <ul> <li>Strong knowledge of retail operations within a financial services environment, particularly within credit unions. </li><li>Knowledge of financial products and services offered by credit unions (e.g., checking accounts, loans, mortgages, etc.). </li><li>Understanding of industry regulations and compliance requirements for retail operations </li><li>Familiarity with training methodologies and instructional design. </li></ul> <p>Experience Required:</p> <ul> <li>2+ years of experience in a retail or customer service environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role. </li><li>Experience in delivering training or coaching to individuals or teams. </li><li>Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and training software. </li><li>Proven experience in managing training logistics, including scheduling and tracking attendance. </li><li>Previous experience in the financial services or credit union industry is highly preferred. </li><li>Experience in retail management or a customer-facing role within a financial institution. </li></ul> <p>HARD/TECHNICAL Skills/Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Strong ability to develop and deliver engaging training programs, both in-person and virtually. </li><li>Proficiency in instructional design and adult learning principles. </li><li>Knowledge of learning management systems (LMS) and training platforms (e.g., Cornerstone, Moodle, etc.). </li><li>Ability to assess training needs and develop customized solutions. </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively. </li><li>Strong presentation skills and the ability to engage a diverse audience. </li><li>Ability to build strong working relationships with branch staff, managers, and leadership. </li><li>Skilled in providing constructive feedback in a positive and supportive manner. </li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to track training programs, schedules, and participant progress. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently, prioritizing work to meet deadlines. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other office tools. </li><li>Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on identifying gaps in knowledge or performance and creating effective training solutions. </li><li>Ability to analyze training effectiveness using metrics, evaluations, and feedback to continually improve training programs. </li></ul> <p>WORKING CONDITIONS</p> <ul> <li>Standard office conditions </li><li>Low to moderate noise </li><li>Limited lifting up to 30 lbs. </li></ul> <p>This description has been reviewed to ensure that only essential functions and basic duties have been included.
