<p>VISTA: Building the Bridge to K-12 Girl Leadership</p> <p>Members will complete community assessments, market Girl Scout program to targeted audiences and plan and lead ignitor and recruitment events to create increased community awareness and engagement. Members will identify schools, faith communities, libraries, colleges, businesses, civic and professional groups and other non-profits in the county. Schedule meetings with schools to discuss student needs and promote Girl Scout programs that support those needs. Conduct focus meetings and community conversations with girls, families, and other stakeholders to ensure that they have input into project plans. Scheduled presentations, tabling events and igniters with libraries, schools, churches and community events. Explore and develop partnership opportunities with community groups and organizatoins. Further help on this page can be found by clicking here.</p> <p>Member Duties : As a Vista community builder, you will connect and partner with schools, colleges, libraries, businesses and community organizations to build a volunteer infrastructure needed to deliver and sustain Girl Scout programs and strengthen communities in the following counties in Kentucky: Bell, Breathitt, Floyd, Harlan, Knott, Knox, Letcher, McCreary, Perry, Pike, and Whitely. Girl Scouts develop girls' personal and leadership skills around STEM, Life Skills, Entrepreneurship, and Outdoor Adventure.
