<p>Description</p> <p>GEO Prep Baker is a part of a network of high-quality public charter schools that deliver the innovative GEO Academies model developed by the GEO Foundation. It joins GEO Prep Academy, GEO Next Generation High School, and GEO Prep Nid-City in delivering a high-quality learning experience to parents and students in Louisiana. GEO Prep Mid-City is a tuition-free, public charter school that serves students in grades K-8. Our dedicated faculty are committed to providing an outstanding education for students each day as they transition from elementary school to middle school to high school and COLLEGE. Through our partnership with local colleges and universities, our students will be able to take dual credit courses on the college campus to earn college and career credits at no cost to the student. Our curriculum and our teaching methods are designed using Core Knowledge, Teach Like a Champion and blended learning model. We are a TAP school!</p> <p>REPORTS TO/TERM:</p> <p>Principal and Administrative Team</p> <p>This is a 10-month position</p> <p>Essential Key Functions:</p> <p>An Exceptional Student Services classroom assistant will perform the following duties:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain student service logs </li><li>Provide service to students </li><li>Assemble small groups </li><li>Work individually with students </li><li>Collaborate with general education teachers </li><li>Attend all required staff meetings </li><li>Work as a team member </li><li>Attend all professional development opportunities </li><li>Work under the direction of the Resource Teacher </li><li>Other functions assigned by supervisor </li><li>Follow all school policies </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Associate or higher with a minimum GPA of 3.0 </li><li>Desire to grow professionally </li><li>Commitment to the mission and organizational goals of GEO Academies </li></ul>
