In this dual-role position, you will combine inside sales support with hands-on warehouse tasks to ensure customer satisfaction and smooth operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow within a supportive, fast-paced, and growing company.</p> <p>What you'll do:</p> <ul> <li>Inside Sales Support: </li><li>Handle customer requests for quotes, order processing, and follow-up communication. </li><li>Greet and assist walk-in customers at the service counter, answering questions and guiding product selection. </li><li>Support outside sales efforts with quotes, expedited orders, and sample requests. </li><li>Assist in managing customer on-site inventory and replenishment programs. </li><li>Warehouse & Fabrication Tasks: </li><li>Perform fabrication duties such as cutting hoses, sheet rubber, and gasket materials to specifications. </li><li>Build hydraulic and industrial hose assemblies, ensuring accuracy and meeting manufacturer specifications. </li><li>Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, crimpers, Bandit, saws, and other necessary machinery. </li><li>Maintain clean and organized work areas, adhering to company safety protocols. </li><li>Prepare and label outbound materials with appropriate shipping information. </li><li>Perform daily maintenance on warehouse equipment, ensuring proper functionality. </li><li>Customer Service & Operations Support: </li><li>Serve customers at the service counter with excellent customer service. </li><li>Assist with stocking shelves and filling customer orders. </li><li>Perform in-process inspections and enter work order data accurately. </li><li>Communicate workflow issues and equipment needs to the team. </li><li>May assist in training new employees. </li><li>Multitask efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. </li></ul> <p>What you'll need:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent. </li><li>Prior experience in inside sales and customer service preferred. </li><li>Strong mechanical aptitude with experience using tools and equipment, including hose cutting, crimping, and assembly. </li><li>Basic math, measuring skills, and ability to read complex instructions. </li><li>Good communication, problem-solving, and computer skills. </li><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. </li><li>Experience with fluid power, plumbing, or HVAC products is a plus. </li><li>NAHAD certification is a bonus. </li><li>Physical ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds regularly. </li><li>Ability to stand or walk for extended periods. </li></ul> <p>What We Offer:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive pay with performance-based incentives. </li><li>Comprehensive health benefits, 401(k) plan, paid time off (PTO), and holiday pay. </li><li>A stable, financially strong company with room for career advancement. </li></ul> <p>Join Summers Rubber and contribute to our success in delivering innovative solutions while growing your career in a diverse and collaborative environment.
